The Diceapashoezas:

a Wyrmwood Gaming Collab

The Diceapashoezas, designed for Wyrmwood Gaming to promote their Diceapalooza Kickstarter event in 2024, I was given complete creative freedom by the Wyrmwood creative director, who even insisted that the final design of the painted sneakers be a complete surprise to him and the whole team. The design featured a hand-carved wooden texture sole, first dyed with leather dye, then carved away to reveal the lighter areas of the rubber sole, creating a unique wood grain texture. This risky yet exciting idea was inspired by Wyrmwood’s expertise in crafting high-quality wood gaming furniture. For the painted part of the sneakers, I painted their new prismatic dice, a hand rolling them across the side of the shoe, and added in some colorful candy and the Wyrmwood logo. The sneakers were unveiled for the first time during Wyrmwood’s YouTube video about the Diceapalooza event alongside other exciting collabs and surprises!
